About the customer

Globus is a Swiss department store company that operates 13 department stores in Switzerland. The group, which also includes the men's Globus chain and the Office World chain, employs around 1700 people. The company used to be owned by Migros, Switzerland's largest retailer. Today it is owned by the Central Group and Signa Holding.

The project

The project focused on the following areas:

  • Determining the status quo through interviews
  • Migration based on SCORM files & integration in intranet app Beekeeper
  • Integrating LMS365 into the existing IT environment
  • Training for future LMS365 administrators
Project - innobit ag

The initial situation

Globus has completely geared its IT strategy towards the integration of Microsoft365 and wanted to unite the existing IT environment with Microsoft365 without barriers and obstacles. After Migros Switzerland sold Globus two years ago, the company was looking for new opportunities and new tools in the area of employee training.

The legal requirements for training and further education had to be taken into account

As a retailer, Globus has specific legal requirements for the training and development of its employees. This can be in the areas of hygiene, safety or compliance.

Example: A delicatessen employee must have a precise understanding of hygiene prevention in order to do their job. Globus also follows its own quality standards. All employees are continuously trained and qualified in their skills. This is essential for the company and ensures its success.

LMS365 as a suitable tool. The innobit in Basel as a suitable partner.

Many Globus e-learning tools were tested in advance and innobit conducted interviews with the future stakeholders and administrators in order to take their long-term requirements for the LMS into account. Furthermore, a way was found to integrate the LMS365 into the Beekeeper intranet app in order to provide future learners with a central point of access. The exact needs assessment based on interviews and questionnaires is an integral part of the implementation process and is carried out with every future LMS365 customer by specialists at innobit. It was then clear that LMS365 would meet all of Globus' needs and requirements in order to maintain its high standards. innobit, as the Swiss-wide provider of LMS365, also met all the criteria and stood out as a suitable partner for the LMS365 project thanks to its many years of project experience. All 1,700 employees in Switzerland can now take advantage of training courses tailored to their needs and expand their knowledge.

I wish I had partners like innobit in Basel everywhere. The project managers meet all the criteria in terms of reliability and responsibility. innobit ag is an excellent company that meets all the required standards thanks to the quality of its employees.
